The PC World magazine assesses 14 e-banking and 6 m-banking services in Greece in its annual "e-banking special" (November 2006) and ranks Piraeus Bank first.

winbank internet had the highest score (87) followed by Eurobank (83.9), Alpha Bank (82.7) and Egnatia bank (79,3).

The magazine specifically writes: "An excellent proposal not falling short in any point".

The 5 principal assessment categories are:

1. Preliminary procedures: Pprocedures required to obtain and activate the access codes

Global Finance qualifies winbank as the "best electronic banking for businesses in Greece"


The "winbank internet business" service of Piraeus Bank was awarded first place at the annual competition "WORLD'S BEST INTERNET BANKS" organized for the 7th consecutive year by the internationally acknowledged Global Finance magazine. The "winbank internet business" ranked first in the category "Best Corporate/Institutional Internet Banks" in Greece.

The basic criteria for the assessment of services were the following:
- Strategy for the development and supply of products and services to customers 
- Range of available banking products, services and transactions 
- Design and functionality of corporate webpages

Piraeus Bank's winbank internet service scored a total of 14.82 points, achieving the first place! The subsequent positions were occupied by EUROBANK, Alpha Bank, Egnatia Bank and Emporiki Bank.

This is the 24th distinction that winbank e-services receive since 2000 and the 1st in 2006.
