Piraeus Bank Call Center was selected as being the BEST in Greece in the Large Call Centers category at The Teleperformance CRM Grand Prix 2001 international competition in May 2001.
The evaluation was based on criteria such: Calls Response Time, Agents' Friendliness, Product Knowledge, Promotion as well as the overall Quality of Service.

 

Both winbank services, winbank internet and winbank mobile, were awarded the "Editor's Choice" prize of the Greek edition of the well known international magazine PC Magazine, in the special issue on e-banking, July - August 2001.
It was the first time in Greece that the editors team of PC Magazine evaluated all Greek banks that provide e-banking services to their customers.
Rating covered all aspects of services: Access Procedure, Range of Options offered, User Friendliness, Speed, Security, as well as Customer Service and Support.

 

winbank won a different prize, the "i-Brand of the Year" in November 2001, at the first "Interactive Advertising & Marketing" Conference, where a complete picture of the present and future interactive advertising was presented and special prizes were awarded in individual categories.

 

Surely, the greatest prize of all, the one that made winbank stand out at a European level, was at the annual European contest, "The European Banking Technology Awards 2001", in November 2001, where it received an award in the Best Online and Multichannel Banking Team category.
Individual category winners featured the biggest names in the European banking sector, namely Credit Suisse Private Banking (Best Use of IT in the Banking Sector), JP Morgan (Best Use of Innovative Technology & Best Implementation of Straight Through Processing), Schroder Salomon Smith Barney (E-Business Team/Initiative), Barclays Bank Service Provision (Best Online and Multichannel Banking Team), Ceskoslovenska Obchodni Banka (IT Team of the Year), HSBC-Investment Banking (Trading and Risk Systems IT Manager), and Egg Bank (Operations Director/Team). There was a special prize awarded in each category, and winbank was awarded the Highly Commended prize in the Best Online and Multichannel Banking Team category.
winbank's services stood out to be equal to the services provided by Barclays Bank Service Provision, which won the first prize in the category, its comparative advantage being the number of its customers amounting to 2.3 million. winbank stood out mainly for its exceptional, from the point of view of technology and innovation, winbank internet service, the number of service users, the extent of internet banking penetration in terms of bank customers and customer satisfaction.

 

winbank internet was evaluated by Infotainment Arena magazine, in December 2001, as being the best solution in Greece. This evaluation was based on criteria such as: Design and Structure, Added Value for Visitors, Services provided, on-line Marketing techniques used and Security.

 

winbank also came first in the evaluation of the websites of FTSE 20 companies for 2001, by yellownetroad (based on the methodology of the London School of Economics). Yellownetroad based its results on six quality criteria used in the evaluation of sites: Énformation, Ádvertising and Promotion, Electronic Transactions, Communication, Added - Value Services and Åase of Use.
